To add a table to your content, click the dropdown above the "Paragraph" button.
The first option is “Table”. This allows you to create a new table using a grid.
To use, drag your mouse across the grid to select the number of rows and columns you need and click to insert the table into your document.
After inserting a table, you can edit it by selecting “Table properties.”
There are two editing levels. "General" and "Advanced".
Under the "General" tab, you can:
-
Adjust the width and height of the entire table.
-
Modify cell spacing (space between cells).
-
Adjust cell padding (space between the cell border and its content).
-
Change the border width.
-
Choose whether to show a caption.
-
Select the table’s alignment (left, center, right).
-
Assign a class for styling purposes (if using CSS or custom styles).
Under the "Advanced" tab, you can:

Change the border color.
-
Adjust the background color of the table.
The next option is to "Delete table". To do this, click anywhere inside the table and the select “Delete table” from the dropdown menu.
This will completely remove the selected table from your document.
Cells
The first option for "Cells" is "Cell properties".
Just like tables, cells also have "General" and "Advanced" settings.
Under the General tab, you can:
-
Change the cell width.
-
Select the cell type (data cell or header cell).
-
Adjust the scope (for accessibility and header relationships).
-
Set horizontal alignment (left, center, right).
-
Set vertical alignment (top, middle, bottom).
Under Advanced, you can:
-
Change the border width.
-
Select the border style.
-
Choose the border color.
-
Set the background color for specific cells.
The "Merge cells" option allows you to combine two or more selected cells into one larger cell.
To merge cells, select the cells you want to combine and click “Merge cells.”
The "Split cells option divides a selected cell into multiple rows or columns.
To split a cell, select the cell you want to split, choose “Split cells", and specify the number of rows or columns needed.
Rows
Clicking "Insert row before" adds a new row above the selected row.
Clicking "Insert row after" adds a new row below the selected row.
Clicking "Delete row" removes the selected row.
The next option under “Row” is “Row properties.”
Like the previous menus, it has two sections, "General" and "Advanced".
-
General allows you to adjust the row type, alignment, and height.
-
Advanced lets you customize the border style, border color, and background color.
The next option is “Cut row.” This will copy the row and remove it from its current position, allowing you to paste it elsewhere in the table.
Following that is “Copy row,” which duplicates the row without deleting it.
To paste a row, select a row and choose either “Paste row before” or “Paste row after.”
Column
The last part of the "Table" dropdown is "Column".
The first options allow you to insert a column either before or after a selection column. Select a column and choose “Insert column before” or “Insert column after” to add a new column in the desired position.
The next option is "Delete column". Select the column you want to remove and click “Delete column.”
Next is "Cut column". This copies the selected column and deletes it from its current location, so you can paste it elsewhere in the table.
Next is "Copy column". This copies the selected column without removing it so you can paste it elsewhere.
Finally, the last options allow you to paste columns. Select a column and choose either “Paste column before” or “Paste column after” to insert the copied or cut column.
