On Aptuitiv Plus or higher, you can have forms on your public website to allow visitors to add events to the calendar.

Added events are automatically added to the calendar. No need to manually enter event data.
Events can require administrative approval before displaying on the website.
Optionally require the user to be logged in before submitting an event.
Allow users to edit their submitted events.
Admin email notifications when new events are added, or existing ones are edited.
Customize the form layout and which fields you want to use.
Autoresponders can be sent to the person who submitted the form.
Using form post process scripts, you can push data to third-party APIs.
