Aptuitiv Studio has a powerful built-in search engine. At this time it will index all Pages. We're in the process of updating the add-ons to be indexed as well.
Customized display
Layout the search results page however you want. You can also customize the content that shows if there are no matching results. A common thing to do is to put a link to the contact form for assistance if no search results are returned.
Automatic highlighting of search terms
A small section of the text from matching pages can be automatically displayed with the search terms highlighted.
Pagination and number of results
You can customize just about everything on the search results page including the default number of results to display and the pagination style to choose. You can also give visitors the option of changing the number of results to show.
| Pagination style | Description |
|---|---|
| All | Returns every page. This is useful for dropdown menu pagination controls with relatively few pages. In these cases, you want all pages available to the user at once. |
| Elastic | A Google-like scrolling style that expands and contracts as a user scrolls through the pages. |
| Jumping | As users scroll through, the page number advances to the end of a given range, then starts again at the beginning of the new range. |
| Sliding | A Yahoo!-like scrolling style that positions the current page number in the center of the page range, or as close as possible. This is the default style. |
