We're pleased to announce another recent addition to the new social networking functionality of Aptuitiv Studio. You can now pull your Twitter feed right into your website and have full style control so that it fits beautifully into your existing design.

In the administration simply go to Social Networking -> Social Networks. You should see two tabs. One called "My Social Networks" and the other called "Inactive Networks".

"My Social Networks" is the social networks that have already been activated in Aptuitiv Studio.

"Inactive Networks" is the social networks that have not yet been setup in Aptuitiv Studio.

Go to Inactive Social Networks and click on Twitter. You'll be prompted to enter your Twitter username and password. Once your account is setup you can create the Content Template to display the feed. Use the API tag to actually place the tag on the page. Go under the Twitter navigation menu and click "API" to view more information about the API tag.

We're going to be adding more social networking capabilities in the near future.

Some of the items that we're planning on adding are:

  • Ability to post to Twitter and Facebook from Aptuitiv Studio
  • Ability to post to Ping.fm from Aptuitiv Studio
  • Eventually be able to post to lots of other social networks straight from Aptuitiv Studio
  • Easy widgets to drop in "Digg This" and other sharing tools onto a page
