Sometimes you're building a website that needs to be locked down and secure. You need the entire website to be password protected and you need the entire website to use SSL (https).
Aptuitiv Studio makes it really easy to do that. Under Site Settings there are 3 settings that can make an entire site password protected and use SSL.
Click the "Site Settings" link in the upper right of the administration. When that page loads go to the Security tab. You'll see the following three fields:
Entire Public Site is Password Protected
If "Yes" is selected then a valid Account holder will have to log in to view any page of the website. That also includes any app pages such as Blog posts or Calendar events.
Entire Public Site is Secure
If "Yes" is selected then the entire public website will use SSL. A non-secure request will automatically redirect to the secure version of the page. For example, a request to http://www.mysite.com will redirect to https://www.mysite.com.
Entire Administration is Secure
This is similar to "Entire Public Site is Secure" except that it applies to the administration. If "Yes" is selected then all administrative pages will use SSL.
