Alternate URL for Aptuitiv Studio Websites
We've recently started launching new websites at a staging URL under our generic domain "mysitestaging.com". Using the magic of wildcard subdomains we can create a new website at whatever.mysitestaging.com and have it instantly live without having to mess with domain registrars or DNS. However, that is not the subject of this post.
What is the subject is that you can now have an alternate domain name point to the same website as your regular site. Now we don't recommend having two domains with the exact same content. Search engines don't like that. Where we see this as useful is if you initially setup your website with us under a staging URL (say... aptuitiv.mysitestaging.com) and you want need to edit or view the site while your waiting for DNS to propogate on your actual domain name (in this example... aptuitiv.com).
A small piece of functionality, but still useful.... to somebody.
